Eco-Friendly Kitchen Tips

You don’t have to make huge changes to create an eco-friendly kitchen environment. Here are 10 tips to help you go green in the kitchen.

  1. Bring Your Own Bag.

Get out of the habit of coming home from the grocery store with a dozen plastic bags holding your goods. Take bags made of canvas or other reusable materials with you, along with mesh bags for produce items. Keep a few in your vehicle for convenience and to ensure you are never caught at the store empty handed.

  1. Drop By the Deli.

Forget all the processed and overly packaged meats and cheeses. Drop by the deli to get freshly cut slices as well as to reduce the amount of plastic and Styrofoam that is wrapped around it. Ask the butcher to minimize the paper used to wrap the produce, as well.

Keeping little minds refreshed during the Holidays

This Friday will be the last day of school for our oldest son until January 7th. While he is out of school I wanted to make sure that he will be able to stay refreshed and be prepared for when he returns. Which is why I grabbed my IPad and began searching for some great apps that I can use. We came across several and here are two of our favorite math apps.

Splash Math – Grades 1 to 5 App

Free fun App that offers Common core standards and helps teach your children

the things that they need to know according to their grades. Our favorite part is that it lines up with exactly what he is doing in his classroom. So it will be like he never missed a lesson when he returns. They will be out for a couple of weeks so I ‘m happy knowing that he will be on track when he returns.

MPM Baby Must Haves Giveaway ends 12/30

Whether you are expecting your first or fourth child, you know there will be things you will need to help you make it through those early months with ease. Outlook has everything your baby needs to make those newborn months easier. New moms often need those little things the most. Things that add just a little extra peace of mind, safety or comfort are usually the ones moms love the most.

We love the Outlook Sleep Pod for new babies. This cover works on car seats, strollers and baby carriers to protect your baby from wind, rain and sun. This is a great adjustable cover that works to shade your child, give them dark for rest, or simple protect them from the elements as you go in and out of stores. While it is most often used for infant seats, it is adjustable to fit on strollers for children up to 4 years old! This is a great investment that will give you peace of mind, and your baby comfort.

Stocking stuffer Ideas: FOX Movie Titles

Christmas means stockings and stockings mean stocking stuffers. Personally I love packing each stocking to its max so when the kids grab them they have to use both hands just to hold it up. Coloring books, Crayons, Christmas Candies, Toys and Movies/Shows DVD/Blu-ray’s etc. . This year FOX has some great titles to have in your Stockings and here are four of our favorites :

1. How to train your Dragon 2

The thrilling second chapter of the epic HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON trilogy returns to the fantastical world of the heroic Viking Hiccup and his faithful dragon Toothless. The inseparable duo must protect the peace and save the future of men and dragons from the power-hungry Drago when Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment releases DreamWorks Animation’s critically acclaimed HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON 2 on Digital HD October 21 and on Blu-ray™ and DVD November 11.
